It has been yet another exciting season of English Premier League action so far, with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool and Pep Guardiola's Manchester City locked in a titanic tussle to see which side will ultimately lift the trophy in May.
However, the race for finishing in the top four and securing a Champions League spot has been equally compelling, with the drama meaning that we are surely in for an exciting final few months of the season.
Hotly contested
Tottenham Hotspur are looking very likely to take third place at the moment, although injuries to star striker Harry Kane and Dele Alli could ultimately have an impact on their chances.
However, the battle for the fourth and final Champions League spot is very interesting, with Chelsea, Arsenal and a Manchester United team which has been utterly resurgent under Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer all in the running.
As of January 25, betting provider MoPlay.com has Spurs and Chelsea as the sides most likely to complete the top four with Manchester City and Liverpool. However, could the latter's chances ultimately have been boosted by the recent capture of Gonzalo Higuain?
The 31-year-old Argentine forward has joined the club on loan for the remainder of the season from Juventus and brings with him a wealth of experience that could prove vital for the matches ahead.
An impressive career
Chelsea is yet another high-profile stop for Higuain during an impressive career which has seen him play at some of the biggest clubs in the world, from River Plate in his homeland to Real Madrid. He also spent the first half of this season at another major club, the Italian giants AC Milan.
Hopes will be high that Higuain is able to replicate the form he showed while playing under current Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri at Napoli in 2015/16, when he was the Serie A top scorer with 36 goals.

However, fans will also be praying that he is not the latest in a long line of strikers who have misfired during their time at Stamford Bridge. Alvaro Morata is just the latest forward to experience problems at the club, while other high-profile examples of flops include Fernando Torres and Andriy Shevchenko who both struggled to find form while playing for the team.
Can Higuain prove to be an exception? Chelsea seem to hope that the striker's past with Sarri will make a difference, with director Marina Granovskaia specifically referencing how he is "familiar with how the coach likes to play".
Making a difference
Following Manchester City's impressive run to the Premier League title in 2017/18, this season has thrown up plenty of excitement and surprises with fans having a genuine title race on their hands.
However, the race for the top four has also been hugely exciting and we can't wait to see whether Higuain has what it takes to be a hit in England and ultimately propel his new club Chelsea back to the promised land of the Champions League.
