While museums around the world ban selfie sticks, one museum in the Philippines allows taking a selfie with "Mona Lisa" of Leonardo da Vinci's and "Starry Night"by Vincent van Gogh.

Located in Manila, Art In Island allows taking selfies with 3D models of iconic paintings making it the first selfie museum in the world.

As an interactive museum, Art In Island enables visitor to become one with the work of art with its 3D renderings of classic paintings, some of which have parts missing so visitors can assume the position to complete the art.

As a direct response to the traditional museum model, Art In Island says in its Facebook page that it "allows visitors to interact and have fun with the art pieces" and be part of the art.

According to Hyperallergic, it takes approximately two hours to have a complete tour of the museum, which is considerably quick for a tour through art history.

The Philippines having the world's first selfie museum in its capital city is not a surprise. According to a 2014 study by TIME magazine, several parts of the home country of the famed boxing champ Manny Pacquiao are among the selfiest cities in the world.

Among the Philippine cities included in the list of top 100 selfiest cities in the world in 2014, according to the study, are Cebu City at number nine with 99 selfie-takers per 100,000 people and Baguio City with 82 selfie-takers per 100,000 people.

On top of the list are Makati City and Pasig City with 258 selfie-takers per 100,000 people.
