People all over the world can participate actively in the Earth Hour on March 28, by simply switching off the entire grid of the house for one whole hour, according yo Tech Times. When performed on a global level, this will save a lot of heat and light energy.
This Earth Hour will be on from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and is anticipated to involve at least 2 million people across the globe.
The whole Earth Hour event had started off in Sydney in 2007 and today, everyone likes to take part in it and do what is best for the climate and the environment. In 2014, 67 countries took part in the Earth Hour, IB Times has learned.
This event always takes place around the end of March. There is a coincidental sunset time in both northern and southern hemispheres and there is an equinox in the autumn and spring seasons, making it the best time for the "darkness" to be visible across the world for an hour.
Moreover, an organization called the Earth Hour Blue was launched in 2014 for the welfare of the planet. It aims to pass bills from the Senate to promote better life on Earth and to protect Mother Nature. This crowd-sourcing organization puts forward all its money towards innovative ideas which can be used to use renewable sources of energy like the solar power and the hydraulic power and promote their use over the use of exhaustible sources of energy.
