Microsoft is geared up to launch their new Windows 10 operating system and along with it comes the Spartan browser, a promising new software that's going to give Firefox and Chrome a tough competition.
Internet Explorer failed miserably in the past few years which made the company shun the brand completely. Spartan is currently the namesake of the product, which will be confirmed only when the launch date comes close.
A hands-on experience with Spartan browser by Microsoft confirms it is the future. The user interface is extremely thin, trimmed to the very basics and the flat, transparent icons add up to its appearance.
There are only eight buttons on the screen including the forward, back, webpage reload, book mark, reading view, more options and so on. The tabs sport a rectangle shape and looks rather flat which syncs with the overall appearance of the Windows 10 operating system.
Compared to Internet Explorer, Spartan uses a highly responsive search engine which allows it to easily help users find the website they are looking for. Besides, it is powered by a HTML 5 API opposed to the Trident used by IE 11 which makes it blazingly fast when loading pages, PC Mag reported
The browser is capable of preventing all pop-ups for an uninterrupted browsing experience. It has two different versions - a full screen Windows 10 edition and the standard desktop version. Reading mode, web notes and integrated Cortana are some of the exclusive features of Spartan, accrding to ArsTechnica.
Microsoft has made the browser modern so that it doesn't look outdated and with great usability factor, it has the potential to replace Chrome or Firefox in the upcoming months. Its reliability as an everyday browser can be confirmed only when Windows 10 gets officially launched this summer.
