Stephen Amell of television series "Arrow" has been fixed in the upcoming movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2". He will play the role of Casey Jones in the sequel which will hit the theatres in 2016, according to Varity.

With Amell as a new cast, many cast members from the first movie are also returning such as actress Megan Fox will be seen again playing the role of April O'Neil, Will Arnett and David Green, though the return of other cast members are still to disclose.

It was his chemistry with Fox, which convinced the casting directors to confirm him in the role of Casey Jones, with around a half-dozen of actors being tested before over the weekend.

However, Paramount Pictures had not commented on the casting of the sequel.

After the success of the first film, Ninja Turtles franchise has become the top franchises of Paramount pictures. Last summer the film acquired $191 million domestically. It was such a huge success that paramount has decided to come up with the sequel of the film in 2016, even before tapping down a director for the sequel.

It is actually his charm which is why he has chosen to be casted as Casey Jones, quoted by Polygon. The Canadian actor who rose to fame with the CW series "Arrow" where he portrayed the title character Oliver Queen aka Arrow.

Michael Bay is producing along with his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. The director is still to hunt but the script has been finalized as Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are penning down it.

The 33-year-old actor will also be seen in the film adaption of the novel "Whatever Makes You Happy".
