The Beijing News reported that the application is composed of speeches and stories followed by the diagram that tackles key political concepts.

“Learning China” is also considered as the first application to use an online method to present different locations and dates of the president’s speeches and news stories with regards to the Chinese leader.

Xi’s words and gestures, mentioned poems in his speeches, academic papers on the leader’s political theories, editorials addressing him, stories on interaction with people, and several books he had written since 1992 were also the features of the app.

"Only when political theory studies have been accepted by the public can the whole nation be more confident in its political theory," Chen Jiancai, deputy editor-in-chief of the website, told The Beijing News as he explained the objective of the application: to uphold political theory studies to the society.
