Recently, Disney made an announcement that a live-action remake of the lovable character "Winnie the Pooh" is under development. Pooh's adventures with his friends should become reality for some reasons. Alex Ross Perry is also tasked to write the screenplay.

Disney should bring the "Pooh's Adventures" concept to life, as per Movie Pilot. Disney takes down pirated footage from Disney films for copyright infringement. One example was "Pooh's adventures" film, which was created in YouTube. Disney can make a spin-off film or crossover for Pooh and his friends, making the characters more popular in their adventures. In addition, Disney will not have to worry on the theatrical release of Pooh's adventures if they generate direct-to-video releases, according to Movie Pilot.

Meanwhile, Perry is set to pen the script for the upcoming live action film for "Winnie the Pooh," as per Jewishbusinessnews. The film will center on an adult version of Christopher Robin, Pooh's owner, along with the bear and his stuffed animal friends.

Perry finishied his film program in New York University in 2006. After that, he became employed at an East Village video store, which allowed him to meet the cast and crew members who eventually became his workmates on his films.

Perry has penned the scripts for films such as "Impolex" (2009), "The Color Wheel" (2011), "La ultima pelicula" (2013), "The Sixth Year" (2013), "The Traditions" (2013), and "Listen Up Philip" (2014). This year, he is set to write for "Queen of Earth."

"Winnie the Pooh" is an upcoming film based on the fictional anthropomorphic teddy bear of the same name. The character was created by A.A. Milne and first appeared in the book of the same name in 1926. It was then followed by "The House at Pooh Corner" in 1928. Pooh's creator also made a poem about the teddy bear in children's verse book "When We Were Very Young" in 1924, which was followed by more poems in "Now We Are Six" after three years.

Walt Disney Productions obtained the rights for Winnie the Pooh in 1961, in interchange for royalties in the first of the two deals between Stephen Slesinger, Inc. and Disney.

Perry as the writer, together with producer Brigham Taylor and the creative team, can boost the live-action's appeal by injecting elements that are new and appealing to the audience. However, while the film is on the works, fans have to wait for further announcement on the cast, crew, plot details, and release date.
