Goodbye, Yellowstone Supervolcano

Russia's "Final Solution" to its U.S. problem should be to destroy the entire North American continent by causing the Yellowstone supervolcano to erupt following a barrage of Russian nuclear missiles.

Rabid anti-American Konstantin Sivkov, President of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems in Moscow, said as a result of the massive explosion of the Yellowstone supervolcano, the largest in the world, "the U.S. will cease to exist."

Sivkov also proposed nuking the San Andreas Fault for good measure. Triggering the long-awaited "Big One" will create a tsunami a mile deep that would wash across the U.S. nearly 1,000 miles inland. Both disasters will completely destroy the hated United States and make Russia the world's dominant superpower.

In a Russian language story published in VPK News and translated into English by the Sydney Morning Herald, Sivkov said Russia will have the asymmetric nuclear weapons capable of these attacks by 2025 at the latest, said WND.

Sivkov has repeatedly claimed the ultimate U.S. geopolitical goal; is "to destroy Russia" and that Russia must act first to prevent this from occurring. In an earlier published essay, Sivkov said there "are many reports saying that the United States has been seriously preparing for war against Russia, that they plan to use thousands of cruise missiles."

"The Americans already consider plans about the neutralization of the nuclear potential of Russia. Plan A is to strike a blow that would behead Russia. Plan B is to destroy the launcher".

Sivkov believes the simplest way to solve the problems presented by U.S. aggression would be to destroy the U.S. using nuclear missiles to intensify the destructive potential of impending natural disasters.

"Geologists believe that the Yellowstone supervolcano could explode at any moment," he wrote. "There are signs of growing activity there. Therefore, it suffices to push the relatively small, for example the impact of the munition megaton class to initiate an eruption. The consequences will be catastrophic for the United States - a country just disappears."

"Another vulnerable area of the United States from the geophysical point of view is the San Andreas fault -- 1,300 kilometers between the Pacific and North American plates ... a detonation of a nuclear weapon there can trigger catastrophic events like a coast-scale tsunami which can completely destroy the infrastructure of the United States."

Sivkov said igniting the Yellowstone supervolcano presents an opportunity for Russia but it depends on the "political will" of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"The power of this supervolcano" will prove "disastrous" for the U.S., Sivkov said.
