Are you already curious about the third installment of The Avengers? According to Joss Whedon, director of Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the film will only have a tag, but no post-credit scene. He adds that the news is not a "fake out."

Some moviegoers enjoy watching the credits roll after a movie, simply to show their due respect to the small army of people who helped to create it. However, for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is usually done for another reason. Enter the post-credit scene.

Whedon has shared that there will be a tag at the conclusion of "Age of Ultron," but nothing at the "very end," according to Movie Pilot. This news from Whedon is also not a "fake out."

Whedon explains that the movie is not following the Marvel movie tradition because the moviemakers could not top the previous post-credit scenes. The most important guideline for making a sequel is to "do something else."

Whedon does not want to include a scene after the credits, for the mere sake of including a scene. He explains that the evolution of the post-credit "shawarma scene" at the end of The Avengers cannot be topped.

In fact, Whedon has no wish to "chase" the final version of the shawarma scene. He calls it a "jewel" and "quirk," according to E! News.

Some of the critics of Whedon's post-credit announcement are upset, while others are in disbelief. Still others are having both reactions.

However, the movie industry is quite famous for fake outs and red herrings. Nothing in life is 100 percent. So on opening night Marvel fans should watch all the credits roll, in order to find out if Whedon's announcement is as such.

"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" will premiere in Los Angeles on April 13, and in the rest of North America on May 1.  "The Avengers" (2012) earned $1.5 billion worldwide at the box office.
