Interested buyers of an Apple Watch might have to wait three months more as the surge of online pre-orders pushed back the delivery dates for some of its variants.

Apple's wearable tech arrived at stores on Friday for customers to try them on. The Apple Watch was available for preview in eight countries. Delivery of the luxurious tech accessory is expected on April 24, the same day of its official sales launch.

The pre-order's for the Apple Watch started on April 10 at about 12:00 AM. At around 9:00 AM, all of the 10 different variants of the Cupertino company's $349 Apple Watch Sport were delayed until June due to the amount of pre-orders.

Mid-tier versions of the Apple Watch has been delayed for up to six weeks, with four versions delayed until July, according to Bloomberg.

Piper Jaffray Cos. Analyst Gene Munster said that the delay is a good sign of increasing demand, but with a limited supply of Apple Watches. Munster added that supply limits the potential for more sales.

Even the most expensive $10,000 to $17,000 Apple Watch Edition models have been pushed back to either June or July, despite the lack of interest from people in the months leading to the recent launch.

However, some reviewers already have mixed thoughts on the Apple Watch. Some say that it really feels like a luxurious accessory, but others criticize its lack of third-party apps and battery life, according to Information Week.

Apple Watch previews are still available in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, Germany, China and France. But, interested parties will need to book an appointment online first. Walk-in try-ons are not allowed by Apple.

For those who are interested in smartwatches with a limited budget, there are lots of cheaper models already available from Google's Android Wear line. Most of the smartwatches start at $150 with the most expensive ones at just $350-the same price as Apple's entry-level Watch Sport.
