Just days after the official release of Apple iOS 8.3, the Cupertino-based company began sending out iOS 8.4 beta build to some registered developers.

Industry analysts predict that iOS 8.4 will be the last update from Apple before it transition to iOS 9, which is expected to be release later this year at the company's annual developer conference, according to The Verge.

A significant amount of attention is currently given to the Music App. The default music player for Apple devices has received a lot of visual revamp. Screenshots shared by developers showed a completely redesigned music player as well as an upgraded user interface in the navigation screen, according to The Register.

Apple created a beta channel to test apps for any compatibility issues with upcoming versions of the iOS. Registered iOS developers were given new operating system builds to use in testing these apps and integrate new features into it.

People close to the company said that the Music App makeover was made in order to pave the way for the re-launch of Apple's upcoming streaming music service, Beats Music. The upcoming release of the music streaming service is also a sign that Apple is considering to shut down its iTunes Radio or at least replace it with Beats app in order to compliment the new service.

A huge chunk of the iOS 8.3 update focused mainly on stability and security patches. The update only gave iOS users minor visual updates. Immediately after the roll-out, researchers found out a considerable amount of bugs, some of it poses a serious threat, which enable attackers to gain access to sensitive information from the device.

Apple has yet to confirm whether iOS 8.4 will contain security patches to fix these bugs.
