The Alcatel OneTouch, first announced at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, is already out in the market and receives fair critical attention due to its affordability. The smartwatch has a starting price of $150.

For many consumers who crave for a smart wearable device but can't afford the high-end Apple Watch, currently priced at $349, the Alcatel OneTouch Watch is a good alternative. Aside from compatibility with both iOS and Android platform, the smartwatch is also equipped with a fitness tracker, according to Tech TimesThe Alcatel OneTouch also runs using the company's wholly developed software.

The Alcatel OneTouch has a round stainless body common in many high-end smartwatches, according to Engadget. The body is partially made of stainless steel and has a 1.2-inch screen and has a crown button located at the right edge, a design reminiscent of the Moto 360. Additionally, Alcatel OneTouch is water and dust resistant.

Alcatel OneTouch uses the STMicroelectronics STM249 processor. The screen has a resolution of 240x204 which is relatively lower compared to entry-level smartwatches currently available in the market.

Despite the smartwatch's 10.55mm thick body, Alcatel managed to integrate it with an accelerometer, altimeter, heart rate monitor, gyroscope and an NFC radio. However, many critics suggested that it would have been much better if Alcatel also added a light sensor.

The smartwatch can be charged using the USB port that is built into the strap. The 219mAh battery can also keep the smartwatch running for several days on a single charge.

Since the Alcatel OneTouch supports both iOS and Android platform, syncing it to an iPhone or any Android device for further support won't be a problem.
