More details about the movie are still awaited but one thing has been confirmed that the character of Rick Deckard, which was played by Ford will return to the big screen to a world where there are artificial and illegal humans which are called "replicants", and are being hunted down.

The movie will be directed by the director of "Prisoners" fame, Denis Villeneuve, according to Indie Wire. The original director of the first movie, Ridley Scott, will also be on board with the project and will be taking part of a producer for the sequel. Hampton Fincher, the original screenplay writer will also be collaborating in this movie. It will be released by Warner Bros.

Although Gosling is on a very busy schedule these days, currently working on big projects like "The Nice Guys and The Big Short", yet he has signed the deal for this movie.
