Bruce Jenner was seen for the first time wearing a dress in the patio of his Malibu mansion on April 21, Tuesday and many celebrities took to social networking sites to show support for the former Olympian.

Jenner, who was married thrice and fathered six children, is expected to reveal his transition to a woman this Friday via his interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer. Days before the much-anticipated interview, he stepped outside his home wearing a floor-length black and white striped dress.

The 65-year-old reality star of the show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" was photographed wearing the dress that had a slit from the knee to the hem, the New York Daily News reported. He was also smoking a cigarette when the paparazzi snapped the much-talked about photos.

Days after the photo became viral, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton tweeted a photo of Jenner wearing the said dress and called him a "genius."

Actress Lena Dunham also tweeted a statement saying that other celebrities should not joke about the said gender transition of Jenner. 

Another celebrity who showed support is TV show host Howard Stern as he took to Twitter to give some advice to Jenner.

"Big Brother" host Rylan Clarke wished Jenner good luck on Twitter and complimented the former Olympian that he looked great wearing a maxi dress.

"Bruce Jenner: The Interview" will be a two-hour long ABC special and the network remains to be tight-lipped with what the interview will be about. However, promotional clips were released as to what people will expect and in one of the said clips, Jenner shared that he does not want to hurt his family with what he is about to reveal. 

Jenner wearing a dress was the second time this week that his wardrobe choices became controversial. Another photo of him emerged Monday showing that he appeared to have worn a sports bra while riding his motorcycle. The photo came days after Radar Online reported that Jenner undergone breast augmentation.
