The tour buses of Eminem's "Drop The World" collaborator Lil Wayne, 32, born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.,were shot several times on I-285 near I-75 in Cobb County, Ga., at about 3:30 a.m. on April 26, Sunday, according to police.

According to Atlanta police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy, officers from her department were called to the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Peachtree Road about somebody "shooting at a bus that Lil Wayne was on," Atlanta Journal Constitution has learned.

Espy said that responding officers found two tour buses that had been shot multiple times. She also said, "Witnesses could only provide a limited description of the suspect vehicles. They were described as two white vehicles, possibly a Corvette-style vehicle and an SUV."

In the evening of April 25, Lil Wayne performed at the Compound night club on Brady Avenue in Atlanta, Ga.

Nobody was injured by the shooting. Representatives of Lil Wayne have yet to release a statement about the issue.

Aside from "Drop The World" featuring Eminem, Lil Wayne has several collaboration songs that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including "Lollipop" featuring Static Major, "She Will" featuring Drake, "Right Above It" featuring Drake, "Love Me" featuring Drake and Future, "Mirror" featuring Bruno Mars, and "What's Wrong With Them" featuring Nicki Minaj, among others.

Lil Wayne's "How To Love" at peaked at number five while "A Milli" peaked at number six, "Go D.J." peaked at number 14 and "Prom Queen" peaked at number 15.

As an actor, Lil Wayne appeared in the 2007 film "The Boondocks," the 2009 film "Hurricane Season" and "Freaknik: The Musical" in 2010.
