Vin Diesel has confirmed that "Furious 8" is happening without the late Paul Walker. This announcement may cause polarizing reactions from "Fast And Furious" fans.

For some, this is good news because the death of Walker will not stop the film franchise established in 2001 with the film "The Fast And The Furious." Others, on the other hand, may find it disrespectful to create another sequel without Walker.

"Fast And Furious" fans should take note, however, that Walker himself had foreseen "Furious 8." As Diesel put it, "Furious 7" was for Walker while "Furious 8" is from Walker.

In front of over 4,000 theater owners gathered at Universal Pictures' CinemaCon on April 23 at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas, Diesel announced, "'Furious 8' will be yours to share with the world on April 14, 2017," Mashable reported.

"The last time I was on this stage I was with my brother Pablo," Diesel said referring to 2013 CinemaCon, which he attended with Walker.

So far, only Diesel was confirmed to be part of "Furious 8" cast. He will also produce the film along with Neal H. Moritz.

Meanwhile, "Furious 7" is currently the fifth highest-grossing film of all time having earned $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office, Metro reported. It needs to beat "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallos - Part 2," "The Avengers," "Titanic" and "Avatar" to top the list.

Directed by James Wan, "Furious 7" also stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Kurt Russell, Gal Gadot, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, among others.
