The Saturday Night Live team has raised some interesting questions and witfully taken some comical jabs while doing a spoof of the commentary for the recent game between Baltimore Orioles and White Sox, which took place in an empty stadium.

The latest SNL episode focused on sporting headlines including the most lucrative boxing match in history between Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao as well as the Orioles' Wednesday afternoon game against the White Sox, which fans were barred from attending because of the Baltimore riots and unrest over the death of Freddie Gray.

The SNL sketch, which lasted for about four minutes, has since gone viral. Although some fans have complained of inappropriate moments, the spoof has generally received positive feedback on social media.

According to Baltimore Sun, the sketch featured Kim Palmer playing Taran Killam and Keenan Thompson executing his best Frank Robinson impression.

The sketch also featured a guest host, actress Scarlett Johansson, who played an on-field reporter from the Orioles game, which took place in an empty stadium. Johansson played former Orioles reporter Amber Theoharis.

As expected, there were plenty of moments that many would consider in appropriate, these include Robinson and Palmer saying " Baltimore has just been on fire this week" and "Baltimore took an absolute beating from the boys in blue". This reference was to the Blue Jays. Both Robinson and Palmer reportedly apologized following the above statements.

Amber Theoharis, who left MASN in 2002 to join the NFL Network, as quite pleased with being spoofed by SNL. She tweeted "Just realized I was spoofed on #SNL. Watching the fight and my phone blew up. Hilarious. Can't wait to watch. @nbc @Orioles."

The Interro Bang has reported that many viewers were far from offended by the SNL joke, in fact may welcomed it, describing it as a sign that the city of Baltimore is returning to normalcy after a trying time.

Saturday Night Live has consistently provided us with rib-cracking comedy for years now, and as expected the team has been at their mocking best throughout Season 40.
