Chinese President Xi Jinping urged government officials to contextualize the country’s reform drive in a “larger picture” to deepen their efforts in bringing positive change to China.
During the country's central leading group meeting dedicated to boosting China's development drive, Xi encouraged authorities to "grasp the larger picture of reform" and fully implement the growth roadmap "Four Comprehensives."
"(Authorities) should subordinate themselves to the overall situation and have the courage to face up to challenges," Xi remarked.
The meeting produced a plan eyeing to promote reform innovation in key regions. As well, the authorities present in the assembly agreed to inject scientific and technological advancement at the core of the reform drive.
According to a statement, Chinese authorities must advance sci-tech, management, business and branding models apart from breaking down hurdles in the structural and institutional aspects of the country.
Government officials are also encouraged to foster innovation in military-civic integration, the statement added.
In today's context, innovation is a key virtue as China pushes with its "going global" effort, opening up for partnerships and agreements with other nations. It is also regarded as the modern catalyst for development.
Meanwhile, the group also permitted a plan for public interest process and a document aimed at refining legal assistance. The document called for "efficient and quality" aid to people who want to "feel fairness and justice in every case."
The group also approved the provincial-level expansion of a pilot judicial management reform.
The statement emphasized that legal aid plays a key role in providing solution to various social conflicts, looking at a broader perspective.
