"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star Zhang Ziyi was among the celebrities who attended the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2016 Resort Collection Show on May 6, Wednesday, along with singers Kanye West and Selena Gomez and model Miranda Kerr.
Held at a private residence in Palm Springs, Calif., the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2016 Resort Collection Show was also attended by Michelle Williams, Marisa Tomei, Alicia Vikander, Adele Exarchopoulos and Britt Robertson, among others, according to Just Jared.
The event featured the latest Louis Vuitton collection of Nicolas Ghesquière in a $25 million worth house, which is for sale, designed by John Lautner.
"The paradox of the brutalism of the architecture and the refinement of the interior was quite inspiring to me," Ghesquière said of the house, as Style quoted him saying. "I love the idea of sweet and hard at the same time."
Zhang wore a black skirt paired with a floral blouse at the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2016 Resort Collection Show. She also wore black shoes just like Gomez and Kerr while West wore a black hooded sweater.
Known for the 2000 film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," which also starred Chow Yun-Fat, Zhang appeared in John Woo's film "The Crossing" with Takeshi Kaneshiro, Masami Nagasawa, Xiaoming Huang and Shan Cong in 2014.
It is expected that the sequel "The Crossing 2" will be released before 2016. Zhang, Kaneshiro and Nagasawa will all reprise their roles in the sequel.
In 2016, Zhang will star in Fangfang Li's "Forever Young" with Paul Philip Clark, Chen Chang and Chusheng Chen.
