With the first season of the anime winding up as a major blockbuster, Shingeki no Kyoji, known internationally as Attack on Titan, will be having its second season in 2016.

Season 2 of the Attack on Titan will pick off where the first season ended when the main protagonist Eren Yaeger, using his ability to turn into a powerful 15 meter titan, spoiled the plan of former 104th training squad cadet member and another titan-shifter Annie Leonhart in a costly battle within Stohess District in the west side of Wall Sina

As every avid reader of the manga knows, the story didn't stop in Leonhart's capture. As a matter of the fact, the plot was just starting to get more intriguing with revelations of true identities of more characters and the secrets behind the ruler of the Wall.

Based on the sixth arc of Shingeki no Kyoji manga series, Attack on Titan Season 2 will heavily revolve around the stories of Bertolt Hoover and Reiner Braun, as they attempted to resume the mission of Annie in acquiring the Coordinate, an invincible power that enables the possessor (Eren) to control all the titans even against their will.

Reiner and Bertolt, who graduated second and third respectively in their training squad, happen to be the Armored and Colossal titans who caused the breach on Wall Maria and the fall of Shiganshina District five years ago.

Moreover, the Clash of Titans arc will also expose the identity of complex lovers Ymir and Krista Lenz. It was revealed that Ymir was orginally a titan roaming around for six decades outside Wall Maria, but she regained his human form after consuming Marcel, the childhood friend of Reineir, Bertolt and Annie. Lenz, on the other hand, happened to be Historia Reiss, the successor to the power of the Coordinate and daughter of Rod Reiss - the true ruler of the wall.

These are only some of many storylines fans of the anime series should look forward in the second season. The original voice actors Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa), Yuuki Kaji (Eren) and Marina Inoue (Armin) are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming installment.
