Ashlee Vance's new Elon Musk biography focuses on the life of the 43-year-old visionary who is described as a "possessed genius" with shocking revelations about sumo wrestlers at parties, and a possible Google robot army.

After being born in South Africa, Musk moved to Canada in 1988 and became a naturalized citizen. He later became a United States citizen in 2002.

Vance describes Musk as a CEO who is not "chasing riches" like most do today. Instead, he wants to rescue the human race from extinction, according to The New York Times.

The book's author includes some interesting facts about Musk's personal life in the new Elon Musk biography. For example, he was married three times, and twice to the same woman. Musk also has a nanny manager for his five children's nannies.

Other revelations about Musk are even more amazing. The new Elon Musk book reveals that Musk rents sumo wrestlers and castles for his parties. Also, he fears that Google is building a robot army that could accidentally wipe out humankind.

The Musk biography also includes some fascinating quotes. He would rather commit "seppuku" (samurai ritual suicide) than fail. Also, after obtaining malaria during a 2000 trip, Musk learned that a vacation will "kill" people, according to SFIST.

Perhaps the most shocking Musk quote involved a Tesla employee who allegedly asked for a leave of absence for his child's birth. Musk reportedly wrote that the event was "no excuse" for an absence.

While the Musk biography includes details that reveal Musk's intelligence, it focuses more on his determination. An ex-coworker of Musk reveals in the book that he usually completed 23-hour workdays.

Musk's first start-up company earned him $22 million after Compaq bought it. Then after selling PayPal to eBay for $250 million, Musk had enough money to pursue space technology and green technology.

Musk, the SpaceX CEO, founded the company in 2002. He also launched the electric car company Tesla Motors in 2003, and serves as the Tesla CEO.
