Bandai Namco game director and producer Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed that the crossover game between "Tekken" and "Street Fighter" will be released but is experiencing some minor delay. Harada is just skeptical about the title because it might create confusion to both the games' fan base.

According to Crossmap, Harada confirmed that the upcoming game is experiencing some delay on its release date because he is having a hard time in choosing between two possible title; either "Street Fighter X Tekken" or "Tekken X Street Fighter." Harada added that the delay was caused by a difficult marketing decision and not because of a developmental problem.

Another reason cited by Harada is that Bandai Namco is focusing all its effort for the upcoming release of "Tekken 7." According to VC Post, prioritizing the "Tekken 7" game does not mean that the development of the "Street Fighter" and "Tekken" crossover has stopped. In fact, people close to the company confirmed that a team composed of at least 40 Bandai Namco employees are directing their full attention into finishing the game.

When asked to provide a specific timeframe for the release of the crossover game, Harada only answered "Surprise."

Due to its popularity, Bandai Namco decided to create a crossover game between "Street Fighter" and "Tekken." Rumors surrounding the game put its release date early in 2016 and will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platform. However, Bandai Namco has kept everything secret.

The only confirmed information regarding the game so far is that it will be presented in 3D and will use of the "Tekken" graphic engine.
