According to Time, "See You Again" was penned by Puth to pay tribute to Walker's time and contribution to the "Fast and Furious" franchise. The official music video for the song was launched last month.

Also according to the same publication, the trio's performance served as the most touching moment throughout Sunday night's award show.

Meanwhile, Walker's co-stars have been very vocal about their love for the late actor. In fact, the closing sequence of "Furious 7" featured a montage of Walker's greatest and most memorable moments on set.

Prior to the trio's performance, Ludacris and Tyrese introduced the artists. Both rappers were also featured as the comedic duo on "Furious 7."

According to Movie Pilot, the performance felt as if Walker's spirit was present at the award show's venue.

At one point in the song, the rapper sang, "How can we now talk about family when family is all we got?" This triggered everyone's emotion especially since it is a well-known fact that the cast and crew of "Furious 7" are extremely close with one another.

"Furious 7" was released in the United States last month and it became a huge success, even topping one of most popular "Harry Potter" installments, the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2."
