Several Apple fans are excited and expecting the release of the new iPad mini 4. However, the tech giant Apple has not confirmed the release date.

It is said that iPad mini 4 will be thinner than the earlier iPads. Furthermore, the device will most likely feature a 7.9-inch display that functions better than the earlier version, the Mini 3. It is believed that the new iPad mini will be released through Verizon.

According to rumors, the new iPad mini 4 will be equipped with powerful A8X processor, 802.11ac WiFi and 2GB RAM. However, others have indicated that by the time the tablet comes out, it will sport the new A9 processor.

It is reported that Apple and Samsung have entered into an agreement, with Samsung to supply the A9 processor to Apple.

The Ecumenical News has reported that the iPad mini 4 is earlier expected for announcement at Apple's Spring Forward Event. However, the tablet never made any appearance, with the event displaying the gold Retina MacBook Pro and the Apple Watch. It is believed that the iPad mini 4 will hit the market by the end of the 2015.

According to TechRadar, putting the iPad mini 4 at a slightly lower price could make it more appealing.

However, Macworld revealed the possibility of not releasing the iPad mini 4 at all in 2015, as it appears Apple could be concentrating on the iPhone 6 Plus and the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro or iPad Plus.

The iPad Pro will be powered by the A8X or A9 chip with 2 GB of RAM. However, according to other rumors, the new tablet will be powered by an A9 processor with 4 GB of RAM.

It is also suspected that Cupertino-based Apple will discontinue the iPad mini 3 and iPad mini and keep the iPad mini 2 on as a more affordable option when the iPad mini 4 arrives.
