Wade to Cavaliers Scenario

Following the report of contract impasse between All-Star shooting guard Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat, speculations are already flying around that Wade will eventually bolt out from South Beach for a chance to win an NBA title elsewhere. Miami Herald writer Barry Jackson described the current contract talks with Wade and Heat ugly, adding that Wade changing uniforms isn't a fiction anymore.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Wade's hometown ballclub, the Chicago Bulls, are being monitored as likely destinations for the former NBA Finals MVP. However, there are some who think Wade would join his pal LeBron James in Cleveland, if that option presents itself.

With a very deep shooting guard rotation, the Cavaliers could lessen the workload for Wade by allowing him to take a step back and let his knees recuperate well before the postseason war. While Wade did average 21.5 points, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in another All-Star season, it's clear that his bummed knees cannot anymore hold the wear-and-tear of physical NBA competition as it used to be.

DeMarcus Cousins or Ty Lawson to New York

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are still looking for ways to capitalize on their no.4 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft. According to multiple insiders, the Knicks expressed their willingness to shop the no.4 overall pick in exchange for a bonifide star or an established player.

Feature writer Dan Favale of Bleacher Report provided at least five trade options on the Knicks' lottery pick, but the proposal of acquiring All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins definitely ruffled some feathers. Among the trade proposal, it appears getting Ty Lawson and Wilson Chandler is the feasible option since the Nuggets are reportedly not treating Lawson and Chandler as future cornerstones of the team.
