"Mission: Impossible" star Tom Cruise's adopted son Connor Cruise came under fire after his tweets that criticized the decision to award the ESPY Award's Arthur Ashe Courage Award to trans woman and former Olympic gold medallist Caitlyn Jenner.

According to New York Daily News, Connor took to Twitter to criticize the decision but eventually deleted the tweets, in which he explained why it is wrong to honor Jenner and there are topics people should be focusing on instead of the transition of Kim Kardashian West's stepfather from male to female.

Connor reportedly wrote that among the topics that are more important than the controversial trans woman is "the fact that we are overfishing and in 30 years there will be no more fish," which he said seems dumb but 85 percent of the world's protein is fish.

In the deleted tweets, Connor reportedly wrote, "Really?? Winning the AA award for courage?? Ashton is gonna come out and yell PUNK'D. Don't get me wrong. Do what you feel like doing and don't let anyone stop you. But everyone is taking this way too seriously."

Some followers agreed with Connor saying there are more deserving winners of the ESPY Award's Arthur Ashe Courage Award than Kim Kardashian's stepfather such as "Dancing With The Stars" finalist Noah Galloway, the army veteran who lost his arm and leg while serving in Iraq.

On June 3, Wednesday, Connor took to Twitter again to respond to those who slammed him for his deleted tweets about Jenner. He wrote, "Totally twisting what I said, if you read what I said I totally support being happy and am glad she is happy."

On the other hand, Jenner is ecstatic about the ESPY Award's Arthur Ashe Courage Award she will receive in July, according to Philly
