Ian Halperin's much talked-about book, "Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price Of Fame," claims that Bobbi Kristina Brown, Whitney Houston's only child, became addicted to drugs at the tender age of 14. The book will hit stores on June 9, Tuesday.

The book claims that since Houston was always too consumed by professional commitments, drug usage and her sexuality issues, Brown practically grew up alone as a wild child. It also claims that the celebrity child never stood a chance for a normal life as she was exposed to drugs and wild partying ways too early in her childhood.

Brown was just 12 years old when she first accompanied her mother to rehab in Antigua in 2005 and by the time she turned 15, she was subjected to psychiatric treatment following her attempt to stab her mother before slashing at her own wrists, as per Halperin's claims, Daily Mail has learned.

Brown's condition allegedly deteriorated further when she came in contact with Nick Gordon. The book even raised questions on the popular belief that Gordon was adopted by the late singer when he was just 12, saying that he was actually 18-year-old Kristina's drug addict friend, who was kicked out of his house.

Gordon and Bobby Kristina declared themselves as lovers soon after the untimely death of the latter's mother. Halperin alleges that the pair used to indulge heavily in drugs in Atlanta, where they continued to live together.

The book also claims that the late singer was involved in a lesbian relationship with her close friend Robyn Crawford. The fact that she was never allowed to express her love with her lesbian partner led to her escalating, out-of-control behaviour, according to New York Daily News.

Halperin has reportedly unearthed more shocking revelations about the late singer and her relationship with her child, who is currently on life support after being discovered unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home on Jan. 31.

The 21-year-old is now out of medically induced coma, but has reportedly suffered irreversible brain damage that would put her in vegetative state indefinitely.
