Two days prior to the official release of the 2016 BMW 7 Series, the company's Austrian website hinted about the cars price and engine specs. The website also provided official 2016 BMW 7 Series price as well as available design options.

The 2016 BMW 7 Series release date for the European market is scheduled in October, according to Car Scoops. The car will be offered in three variants depending on its engine specs. All the cars included in the 2016 BMW 7 Series will be available in rear and all-wheel drive layout.

The entry-level model will be the BMW 730d and the BMW 730d Xdrive. Both model will sport a 257 horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel engine, according to iDigital Times.

The mid-level model will be the BMW 740i which will be fitted with a 317 horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder gasoline engine.

The high-end model will be the BMW 750i Xdrive which will sport a 444 horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 4.4-liter engine.

The 2016 BMW 7 Series will also offer a wide range of wheel size selection ranging from 17-inch up to 20-inch. BMW will also offer its new series of cars in 13 different color options including Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Black College, Carbon Black, Cashmere Silver, Glacier Silver, Imperial Blue, Sophisto Grey, Singapore Grey, Magellan Grey, Jatoba, Mineral White and Artic Grey Brilliant Effect.

BMW engineers claim that the 2016 BMW Series 7 car models are 440 pounds lighter compared to their predecessor. In order create a lightweight model, BMW used a combination of high-strength steel, magnesium, aluminum and carbon fiber-reinforced plastic.

The BMW 730d will fetch a price tag of around $112,122 while the BMW 740i model will be around $120,210.
