"Destiny" is looking at another newly added gametype to its playlist. Developer Bungie will be introducing Elimination as a standard Crucible activity this time around.

What's even better is that, apart from retaining the intensity of the gametype, Community Manager David "DeeJ" Dague also revealed in a new Bungie blog post that it will have some key differences than what is known in the Trials of Osiris game experience. There are five main differences to keep watch of.

The first is that any power advantages that one may have in regular Elimination will no longer work in "Destiny" Crucible, as it is the standard in Crucible playlists. Players will also be able to find the right match based on Crucible statistics because of skill-matching. At the same time, teammate matchmaking is enabled, so players can also get the right allies.

For those who are looking to play Elimination many times before any new developments or updates arrive for "Destiny," map cycling will eliminate any boredom. This will prevent players from playing in the same map twice in a row. Finally, the rewards will be as they are in Crucible, with the added bonus of more Marks and Legendary items.

However, the Elimination in the Crucible playlist is temporary. The new "Destiny" Elimination games will last for one whole week.

For "Destiny" fans who are waiting for any updates on the next expansion, a new leak has surfaced, this time pinpointing some new details and even a release date in the works. An anonymous tipster has provided some marketing materials to Kotaku, and with it comes a specified Sept. 15 release date for The Taken King.

This particular DLC has already been sighted and named long before the second expansion, House of Wolves, was even released. According to the leaked materials, there will be new subclass for each of the three classes in "Destiny."

Apart from the three new subclasses, each one will get an elemental super ability. The report also specifies that the abilities are related to the element that are not found in a particular class. Interestingly, The Taken King will also provide a new boss for "Destiny."

This new boss will be Oryx, the father of Crota who was first seen in The Dark Below DLC. The Taken King DLC is also priced at $40.

As of writing, it appears that Bungie has not yet offered any word on the leak. But considering how the developer has hinted at some new announcements at E3 2015, there is the possibility of an unveiling of the new expansion by then.
