The Samsung Galaxy S6 (GS6) Active, a variant of the flagship product of Samsung Electronics Company, which was launched this spring, remains to be the most anticipated Android smartphone and is now being offered exclusively by AT&T.

As summer approaches, the Galaxy S6 received more customer enthusiasm which was not seen during the launching moment of the Galaxy S5. Samsung has come up with another version of the GS6 and GS6 Edge which is the Galaxy S6 Active, Daily Tech reported.

The GS6 Active rugged version of the Galaxy S6 series was announced to be offered by AT&T to its customers. The announcement was made on June 8. This is the third summer in a row wherein the telecom company has been offering such exclusive offers to its subscribers.

The GS6 Active smartphone will be running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system, according to Techno Stream.

The basic hardware specifications remains the same like the super AMOLED 5.1 inch quad HD display is present; the brain of the device is technically identical 14 nm Exynos 7420 Octacore chip which was developed by Samsung. It has a 32 GB storage capacity, a 3 GB internal memory, a 16 Mega Pixel camera, a Dual LED Flash, a front 5 Mega Pixel secondary cameras and finally, an LTE Cat. 6, HSPA+/3G fallback phone modem.

The appearance of the GS6 Active showed to be more robust, durable, and tough with its metal frame design. This device can survive damage when dropped four feet to the ground, also its water resistance of 4.5ft under water for 30 minutes.

 This latest smartphone comes in three colors to choose from: grey, camo white, and camo blue.
