The book author and some "Harry Potter" fans are going back and forth on Twitter, trying to get answers from the former. However, Rowling left some of her responses open for interpretation.

According to Tech Times, other than what has already been confirmed by Rowling, it was also revealed that the U.S. Wizarding school is not based in New York City. Additionally, the Hogwarts counterpart is not related to Salem Witches Institute. However, the school is reportedly deeply rooted in Native American Magic.

Meanwhile, according to Entertainment Weekly, there are four possible locations for the U.S. Wizarding school, namely, New Orleans, Roanoke, New England and the Southwest.

The "Harry Potter" spinoff "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will hit theaters in the United States on Nov. 18, 2106. The film is set 70 years ahead of "Harry Potter" and will chronicle the story of Newt Scamander, a Hogwarts alum and a professional magizoologist who find himself in New York City.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is directed by "Harry Potter" director David Yates.
