Apple recently unveiled the iOS 9 at the WWDC 2015 keynote, but the tech giant was not able to introduce all the new features of the new operating system. Here are some of the additions that Apple did not discuss.
Although at first glance, the iOS 9 is quite similar to the iOS 8, the Cupertino-based tech giant made couple of improvements under the hood to give users a better experience.
Coming this fall, the iOS 9 will sport with a bunch of new features, according to the Techno Buffalo. Apple's newest operating system will have handy multitasking features for the iPad, a more intelligent Siri and a number of app upgrades with its Ring/Vibrate Switch, iCloud Drive, Podcast, notification center and photos. According to the Business Insider, Apple wants to make its devices more stable similar to Google's Android.
In iOS 9, activating personal assistant comes with a quick vibrate to indicate that Siri is ready to hear the users' query. As for the Ring/Vibrate Switch, the feature is not new to iOS but it has only been available on the iPad. In iOS 9, iPhone owners will enjoy a faster way to toggle the setting and go between lock rotation and mute when toggling the ring/vibrate switch.
iOS 9 provides greater access to the features of the iCloud Drive with a setting that allows users to access the app and the files that were stored through the service. Users will be able to move files around, delete files and sync files across the other gadgets.
Similar to the Music app, the Podcast app is redesigned in the iOS 9. There is an addition of the unplayed button, which displays all the podcasts that were not yet played and a slightly improved My Podcast section.
In iOS 9, the Notification Center will show the remaining battery of the Apple device. Also, Apple users will be able to toggle various shooting modes for video. In iOS 9, users can toggle the option and choose to hoot 720p at 30fps, 1080p at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps.
