Floyd Mayweather kept raising eyebrows by mentioning to two possible foes for September who practically have no chance of beating him: Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KOs) and Karim Mayfield (19-2-1, 11 KOs).

Before that he he tried to lure Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya, who has been retired since 2008, to be his next foe.

Now it's apparent that he would want an easy march to equaling Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record before perhaps getting a more credible opponent towards a 50-0 slate.

Mayweather justified his choices by saying that he needs to get ready for his 50th bout and noted that Berto has lately been looking good.

This is the same Berto who was mauled by Robert Guerrero, who in turn suffered a shutout loss to Mayweather.

However, Mayweather is also known for floating names before settling for a respectable foe.

When asked about Amir Khan (31-3, 19 KOs) Mayweather was evasive and said that the Brit was a solid competitor but "we just down't know." Mayweather also added that Kazakh fighter Gennady Golovkin (33-0,30 KOs) cannot beat him.

Shawn Porter (26-1-1, 16 KOs), who just dismantled Adrian Broner, is now calling out Floyd Mayweather.

Porter and his father Ken said there's now an elephant in the room that can't be ignored.

But Porter's impresive win may just have disqualified him by being too dangerous for a "walk in the park" type of a fight Mayweather is angling at.

Mayweather countered by suggesting that Porter first undergo an eliminator against  Errol Spence Jr., who knocked out Phil Lo Greco in the third round in the undercard of the Porter-Broner fight.

A 2012 U.S. Olympian, Spence (17-0, 14 KOs) was a late replacement for Roberto Garcia.

Spence, a skillful southpaw with speed and power, demolished Phil Lo Greco -- a late replacement for Roberto Garcia, who dropped out of the fight.

Many are also hoping that aside from Golovkin or Khan, that either Keith Thurman (25-0-1, 21KOs) or Kell Brook (35-0, 24 KOs), who defeated Porter last year, will get the call.
