After the success of the launch of the first flagship device the OnePlus One, the Chinese start-up is set to introduce its follow-up variant the OnePlus 2 or OnePlus Two.  It is one of the most talked about devices lined up for the release in 2015.

The OnePlus Two is expected to be released with some feature upgrades. Online publication International Business Times has provided a list of the expected upgrades in the OnePlus One sequel. According to the website, the new version will host at least five feature upgrades including an upgrade in display, processor, operating system, camera and battery.

The OnePlus Two will feature a 5.5-inch LTPS LCD screen just like its predecessor. However, the upcoming device is reportedly expected to get a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The OnePlus One sported Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The daily news publication notes that the OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming device will boast Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor on its forum. The previous version comes with Snapdragon 801. This means that the OnePlus Two will see boost in the performance of the camera, LTE and enhanced battery life.  

There will also be an upgraded camera. The upcoming variant is expected to sport a 16MP primary camera compared to 13 MP in OnePlus One. Changes in the secondary camera have not been reported.  

The OnePlus Two will come with the latest Android operating system, 5.1 Lollipop. As for its current variant, it hosted 4.4.2 KitKat with an upgrade option to Android 5.0.2 Lillipop.

The OnePlus Two is expected to be released with enhanced battery Li-Po 3300 mAh. The OnePlus One contains Li-Po 3100 mAh battery.

It must be noted that OnePlus is yet to reveal the specifications of the second version of its flagship device.

Meanwhile, OnePlus confirmed on its official Twitter account that the handset will include Type-C USB. This port will enable users to connect the handset with various new USB's and HDMI, Display ports etc. The OnePlus One had microUSB v2.0 with USB Host.

In addition, OnePlus has promised that the OnePlus Two will not have overheating problem as confirmed by the company in its recent post on the forum.  

"Although there have been reports that the 810 runs warmer than its predecessors, we assure you that we have taken all the necessary precautions and beyond to prevent this from occurring in the 2. We worked very closely with Qualcomm's engineers to integrate an improved version of the chipset (v2.1) in the OnePlus Two, and fine-tuned both hardware and software," the blog stated. The administrator of the blog promises that OnePlus One sequel will be "cooler than ever."

OnePlus is yet to reveal the official release date for its newest variant. However, the OnePlus Two is expected to be announced anytime now. Speaking to Android Headlines, in January, the co-founder of One Plus, Carl Pie confirmed that the new model will be released in second or third quarter of the year 2015.  

Meanwhile, a Chinese publication mydrivers.com claims that July, 2015 will see the release of OnePlus Two during a press conference. As for the price, the OnePlus One successor will be made available at 1999 Yuan in China (approximately US$322) according to Gizmo China.
