Experts said that star Carmelo Anthony shouldn't pass the blame for his own mistake of signing with the New York Knicks instead of the Chicago Bulls or Houston Rockets.

They noted that Anthony was stuck with the Knicks without a good chance of winning the championship because he wanted to get paid $124 million.

The Bulls were ready to surround him with a roster that could contend for the next three to four years although they didn't flaunt as much money as the Knicks did.

Recently, Anthony hogged sports headlines when he questioned team president Phil Jackson's decision to draft Kristaps Porzingis with the fourth pick feeling he may not be ready to contribute immediately.

Anthony was described as furious by the pick feeling  betrayed and lied to by Jackson and believes that this upcoming season will even be worse than one he had last year.

Now 31 and coming off knee surgery Anthony felt that the clock is running on him and he can't wait two or three years for Porzingis to develop.

Knicks fans were also up in arms this with the selection. The Knicks are in rebuilding phase but many were expected it to act like it is looking to win now.

Jackson said he texted with Anthony after making the pick but didn't reveal Anthony's responses.

He added that he had Anthony in his mind when making the pick but he also considered the second most important thing is what they do for the franchise.

Jackson noted that Anthony sat in for a few minutes during Porzingis' workout and that they anticipate that there will be a significant period of development no matter who the 19-year-oldplayer they pick.
"They're still young players," Jackson quipped.

On Friday, Anthony said in an Instagram exchange that he "can't wait" to see Porzingis, wjhom he described as a "steal."
