A new smartphone from Sony with model number E5663 has been spotted on GFXBench and Geekbench websites. The specs of the device indicate that is a compact-sized smartphone with advanced features. Rumors claim that it is the unannounced Sony Xperia Z4 Compact

The E5663 smartphone comes with a display of 4.6 inches that supports full HD resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels. If the device gets released, it will be the first smartphone from the Japanese tech giant to feature full HD resolution on a display that is lesser than 5 inches, Phone Arena reported.

The handset will be featuring a MediaTek MT6795 chipset that will be featuring a 64-bit octa-core processor gunning at 1.9 GHz and PowerVR G6200 graphics, Xperia Blog reported. The SoC will be able to support 1080pIt will be accompanied by 3 GB of RAM.

Sony is including 16 GB of internal storage. The front-facing camera on the Sony E5663 will be of 13 MP. On the rear, it will be housing a 21 MP camera.

In the recent past, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua with model number E2363 and the Sony Xperia C4 Dual with model number E5363 were launched in India. The purported Xperia Z4 Compact is also speculated to launch in India as it has been spotted on Indian Import Database website called Zauba.

Since no other Sony smartphones were launched with E56XX models numbers before, it is not sure whether the device will be exclusively made available for Indian users. As of this writing, there is no confirmation from Sony on releasing Xperia Z4 Compact. It may so happen that the Sony E5663 may roll come with a different moniker when it is officially launched.
