The Los Angeles Clippers fear the Dallas Mavericks as the team most likely to draw away their prized free-agent center DeAndre Jordan.

Jordan is expected to meet with the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers while the Milwaukee Bucks are hoping to book a meeting.

Sources said Sunday night that it will come down to the Clippers and the Mavericks.

The Clippers can offer Jordan the most money which could be up to a five-year deal worth approximately $109 million. If Jordan were to sign with another team, he could only get a four-year maximum deal worth $81 million.

Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons was actively involved in recruiting Jordan, whom he visited in Houston last weekend and in Los Angeles after Thursday's draft.

Both are represented by agent Dan Fegan and Relativity Sports.

Parsons helped persuade Dwight Howard, another Fegan client, to join the Houston Rockets two years ago.

Jordan, who is considered a top five center in the NBA, was an All-NBA third team selection in 2014-15 after leading the league in both field goal percentage with 71.3 and rebounding with 15 per game.

He spent the last seven seasons with the Clippers.

Letting Jordan leave is foolish for the Clippers who are in the hunt for an NBA crown and are re-tooling.

The have traded Spencer Hawes and Matt Barnes for Lance Stephenson to fortify the bench rebounding and perimeter defense. They are also targeting Paul Pierce, who has opted out of the Washington Wizards; and Caron Butler, who was released by the Milwaukee Bucks.

If the Mavericks aren't able to ink Jordan, they will attempt to re-sign veteran center Tyson Chandler.

The Mavericks are also on the list of teams who will get to deal with free agent  All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge who is seriously thinking of leaving the Portland Trail Blazers.
