In the past as well, LG has jumped multiple versions of Android updates and then released the latest version in the market, according to The Android Origin

LG G3 and LG Flex 2 users find themselves waiting for the Android M release to resolve the numerous OS related issues that they are presently facing with their devices. The test version of Android M is available and it may take a while before Google launches the full version of Android M operating system upgrade, according to The Gospel Herald.

In addition, it is rumored that since the launch of LG G4 Note 4 is nearing its due date, LG may be forced to release it with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Also, there is still no word from LG whether or not the lower end devices like LG G2 will receive the Android M update or not. Many of these devices are facing Wi-Fi and connectivity issues and the users are eagerly waiting for their devices to be updated.

Android M specs include a new feature "Doze," which will greatly enhance the battery life of the device. "App Permissions" have also been overhauled in Android M and users can accept and deny permissions as they deem fit.
