Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 release may take place soon as the Galaxy Tab A tablets, which is released three months ago, received a $30 discount from Samsung and Best Buy.

Samsung recently released the two variants of Galaxy Tab A boasting 8 and 9.7 inches screen displays, quad-core Snapdragon 410, 16GB of on-board storage, 1.5GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera. However, it appears that the tablet is not selling very well and prompted Samsung to slash the price of the tablets bringing the price $199.99 and $269.99 for the 8 and 9.7 inches variant, respectively. US electronics retailer Best Buy also offered the same discount to the devices.

The new Galaxy Tab A discount sparked speculations that Samsung is paving the way for Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 - a high end tablet packing amazing specs and features.

Some of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 rumored features are 8-inch Super AMOLED screen display with 1,536 x 2,048 pixel resolution. Under the hood, the device will reportedly pack an octa-core Exynos SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front-facing shooter.

The line will have two core variants - the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 pertaining to the screen sizes of the tablets. The two models will further have two variants, namely Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi plus LTE.

The first generation of Samsung Galaxy Tab S was announced in June 2014 and was made available to consumers a month after. Whether the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 release date will be in July or in October, Samsung hopes to pick up its tablet line and gain profits. However, Samsung kept mum about the launch of the device.
