Earlier reports suggested that the Surface Pro 4 launch will happen alongside the full version of Windows 10, on July 29. Rumor has it that the upcoming device will be the last in the Surface line, as Microsoft has decided to adopt the "One Microsoft" approach.

The follow-up tablet to Surface Pro 3 is expected to sport a 12-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,440. However, a bigger variant with 14-inch touchscreen display is also said to be in the cards, as per Master Herald.

The device will more likely have similar design features like its predecessor, but come with a significant thinner form factor in comparison. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is rumored to be the first device to pack Windows 10 OS onboard, right out of the box. The company is reportedly gearing up the tablet to take on the Apple's upcoming 12.9-inches iPad Pro said to launch this October.

Speculated Surface Pro 4 specifications include an Intel Skylake processor, stylus, and USB Type-C port. The long rumored device is also expected to be compatible to accessories such as Type Cover 3 and Docking Station, as the company previously indicated. Microsoft is expected to list the entry level Surface Pro 4 price, as same as Surface Pro 3, at $799.

Nevertheless, Microsoft is yet to confirm the very existence of Surface Pro 3 successor, let alone the speculated Surface Pro 4 release date or price or specifications.
