Johnny Depp's wife Amber Heard recently talked about "Magic Mike XXL," in which she plays Zoe. Directed by Gregory Jacobs, the comedy drama starring Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello hit theaters in the United States on July 1.
In a recent interview with Glamour, Heard said she wanted to get involved with "Magic Mike XXL" because there is a freedom to the movie that she appreciated and the filmmakers did not have "the normal respect for following rules that you see."
"For some reason, it's rare in this industry to meet people that don't seem bound by those rules or expectations," Heard explained. "They just wanted to make their own movie their own way and I appreciated that."
According to Heard, she was given a great amount of freedom with her character Zoe in "Magic Mike XXL." She said the filmmakers basically handed it to her and told her they are not girls so they asked her to make the character real.
This is why Heard said her lines and all of her character choices in "Magic Mike XXL" are hers. She said she was allowed to dress herself. She pointed out, "I designed every aspect of Zoe, I made her, me! Everything from the pink hair to the jewellery was mine."
In other news, Heard was spotted at the Palais d'Iena in Paris on July 4, Saturday, for the launch of the first Miu Miu fragrance where she wore a plunging sequinned black dress and a pair of green pointed sandals, Daily Mail reported.
