“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” expansions “Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine,” announced by CD Projekt Red will both together be as big as the “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.”

“If you sum up this 10 to 20 hours and you compare it to The Witcher 2, it’s almost the size of The Witcher 2. And it will be cool, it will be new stories, it will be very emotional stories and I think that people will be happy,” CD Projekt Red’s Konrad Tomaszkiewicz told Game Reactor in an interview.

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” “Hearts of Stone” expansion release will more likely happen in October, while the “Blood and Wine” expansion will be rolled out in the first quarter of 2016. Developer CD Projekt Red first announced these expansion DLCs, back in May, on the official forum.

The “Hearts of Stone” expansion will be an all-new 10-hour-plus adventure, in which players will take Geralt into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt. Geralt will try to solve the contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. The “Blood and Wine” expansion is more like a 20-hour-plus tale in a new land untainted by War, Toussaint, in which Geralt will have to dig deeper to reveal an ancient bloody secret.

The upcoming “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” expansions DLC will come with new characters and offer new adventures for players. Some characters that are missed by the fans, might also make its way to the expansions, according to CD Projeckt Red’s official forum.

Rumor has it that Shani from “The Witcher” will be back in the “Hearts of Stone” expansion, while fans also wish for the return of Iorveth and Saskira.

However, more information about “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” expansions release is expected to be revealed after the DLC campaign ends. As of now, 13 DLCs out of the 16 promised DLCs have been released, with the last one being “Where the Cat and Wolf Play” quest.

CD Projekt Red is also working on “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” Patch 1.07, which is expected to arrive soon, as the full patch notes will be revealed by later this week.
