"Fifty Shades Darker" fans cannot wait to find out more details about the upcoming sequel. Just recently, it seems that lead star Dakota Johnson dropped a hint regarding the movie's upcoming filming schedule.

In a recent interview with Glamour's El Pais, Johnson, who plays the role of Anastasia Steele said that the filming for "Fifty Shades Darker" will begin this coming January.

The actress also talked about what it was like being involved in the film and said that she is most grateful for the experience. According to her, there were times when she felt so exposed to the rest of the world because of her role in the film. However, this does not mean she regrets playing the role of Anastasia in the "Fifty Shades" franchise.

Meanwhile, Johnson also said that she is excited to play different roles in her upcoming films. According to her, doing so can prove that she is a versatile actress who should not be typecast as Anastasia.

In other news, "Fifty Shades Darker" is still looking to cast three new characters ahead of its release in 2017. As of late, Universal Pictures and book author E.L. James are still looking for an actor to play Jack Hyde and actresses to play Mrs. Robinson and Leila Williams, Melty reported.

The upcoming sequel will feature Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, Rita Ora as Mia Grey, Eloise Mumford as Kate Kavanagh, Luke Grimes as Elliot Grey, Victor Rasuk as Jose Rodriguez and more. The film will hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
