Aspiring young actresses were requested to arrive beginning 9am on July 18 at the Excel Centre Hall, Royal Victoria Dock, London. A parent or legal guardian over 18 years should accompany applicants, who must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom and begin shooting between August 2015 and January 2016, Warner Bros. announced.

One of the experienced young actresses who was thrilled with the news of the casting call was Irish actress Evanna Patricia Lynch, 23, who played Luna Lovegood in the "Harry Potter" movies. Lynch said she could not go, and tweeted to her followers, "one of you better nail it," which author J. K. Rowling retweeted.

In other news, Radcliffe was spotted at the San Diego Comic-Con, where he and co-star James McAvoy promoted their upcoming film, "Victor Frankenstein." The actor said he is not looking at appearing in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"  but he is excited to watch Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, and exclaimed that "it'll be fantastic," E! News reported.

Radcliffe, who was catapulted to fame when he played the lead role in all the past "Harry Potter" films, will turn 26 on July 23. The actor has long shed his wizard's cloak and has played roles in movies ranging from a biographical drama ("Kill Your Darlings") to romantic comedy ("What If"); he will next be seen in the horror thriller "Victor Frankenstein."

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is slated to hit theaters in November 2016.
