"Stitchers," a science fiction drama, has been renewed by the network ABC Family. The show is set to end the first season.

The show, "Stitchers" in the 19-49 demographic has averaged at 0.38 rating. Meanwhile, the numbers are not up to the mark but "Stitchers" is the number one scripted cable show in the 9 p.m. Tuesday slot.

"Fans are enjoying the camaraderie of the Stitchers team and a lead character that is unapologetically smart, focused and a great role model to young women," Karey Burke, Executive Vice President of ABC Family said (via Cinema Blend).

"We look forward to seeing more of the Stitchers team tackling diverse cases as they unravel the mystery behind the program's creation," Burke added.

"Stitchers" revolves around Kristen Clark, played by Emma Ishta. She has special powers in the form of psychic abilities. Clark can enter into the minds of people and she specializes in getting into the minds of dead people. A special government task force comes to know about Clark and her special abilities.

She asked to join the task force so that she can assist in solving the crimes. Clark starts to work with Cameron Goodkin, played by Kyle Harris, who is a neuroscientist, Linus Ahluwalia, played by Ritesh Ranjan, Maggie Baptiste, portrayed by Salli Richardson-Whitfield. Maggie helps Clark in the entire process. Also, "Stitchers" has a character named Camille Engelson who is Clark's roommate and she is excellent in computers. This role is portrayed by Allison Scagliotti.

"Stitchers" is aired on Tuesdays on ABC Family.
