"The Winds of Winter" release is likely to happen soon as "Game of Thrones" author George R. R. Martin is going to meet with the editors, publishers and the agents of his book.

Martin also posted a note on his online journal, which revealed that he is going to attend a private event in the next month. The post said that, "The boys of summer better take heed -- winter is coming to Staten Island on August 8. And where there is winter, there are direwolves."

The post also added that, "So I'm headed east the first week of August... for a wedding, yes, and no, that's private, so you don't get to hear any more about it... but I am going to see my editors and publishers and agents while I am in town, and do some other fun stuff... including a ball game. That's the night the Staten Island Direwolves will be playing the Lannister Lions. "

Fans are reading this "private meeting" as a meeting with his book publisher, editors and agents, according to Latinos Post.

In order to focus solely on finishing the upcoming book, Martin canceled all his public appearances. He had even refused to write an episode of the "Game of Thrones" Season 5, so that he could finish "The Winds of Winter" before the next season of the popular TV show.

Also, there is a strong rumor that the preorders of the much-anticipated "The Winds of Winter" are about to start soon.
