The highly anticipated “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” Patch 1.07 recently released seems to negatively affect the performance of the game on PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One.

The Patch 1.07, which the developer CD Projekt Red said would improve the performance of the game by fixing the frame rate drop issue on PS4 version, has more likely affected both the console versions, resulting in degradation of Xbox One version, according to an analysis, Eurogamer reported.

The gap between both the console versions has been narrowed with the patch due to the degradation in Xbox One version’s performance. “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” reportedly runs at a matching 20fps in challenging areas on PS4 as well as Xbox One, while the PlayStation seems to still stutter in places that runs perfectly at 30pfs on Xbox One. In case of the overall image quality, it appears to remain static.

However, the analysis holds only positive views of the patch, excluding the frame rate issues. CD Projekt Red is expected to address the issue in the future patches for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” alongside the two more free DLCs, Forbes reported.

The massive update brought some additional changes and improvements, apart from the 100 fixes and enhancements that were listed in the change log, like the DualShock 4 support for PC version, shortening of burning time along with reduced damages due to burning.

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” patch 1.07 additional changes include the Enhanced Witcher gear sets requiring higher levels like the Enhanced Ursine armor set now requires level 25 from level 22, while the Enhanced Feline Witcher gear now needs level 23 character, compared to the previous 19 level.
