Amy Schumer's GQ Cover Photo (Photo : Twitter)

The latest GQ cover of Amy Schumer is attracting more flak from the readers and Disney and Lucasfilm alike.

It is the August issue of GQ, Schumer is seen dressed as Princess Leia captured by the American photographer Mark Seliger. Schumer is seen sporting the slave bikini of the fictional character Leia on the cover and sucking on C-3PO's finger, while she is seen topless in the other photograph inside the tabloid and smoking in bed between C-3PO and R2-D2.

Evidently Disney and Lucasfilm are not appreciative of this either and as per the statements issued by them, they did not approve of the GQ cover shoot in this manner. Apparently neither the film company Lucasfilm nor Disney has authorized the photo shoot, as they continued to tweet their response on their official "Star Wars" Twitter account on every adverse reaction they received saying, "Lucasfilm & Disney didn't approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner."

Post the bawdy cover shoot expose, people took to Twitter to express their antagonism against the franchises. People felt the entire photo spread was "lame" and "tasteless". However Mark Hamil, who is best known to portray Luke Skywalker, seemed to be quite excited with Amy Schumer's appearance on the GQ cover as he tweeted his frank thoughts in support of the shoot. According to Hamill, he wondered if Schumer was being considered for the "Star Wars: Episode VIII"

According to CNN, among all the controversy the tabloid GQ did not comment on the assertions by Disney and Lucasfilm
