It seems like the dearly missed Shani from “The Witcher,” will make a return in “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” “Hearts of Stone” expansion, slated for a release in October.

Developer CD Projekt Red recently updated the game’s Steam page, revealing a promotional art for both the expansions announced - “Hearts of Stone,” and “Blood and Wine.”

The image for the first expansion, shows a red-haired woman, said to be Shani from “The Witcher,” GameSpot reported.

This falls in line with the previous teaser from the developer that Shani will be involved in the expansion’s story. The promotional image was confirmed to be genuine by community manager Marcin Momot, who stopped short of confirming the identity of the red-haired lady.

“As far as the character portrayed on the illustration, we’ll leave that for the community to figure out,” said Momot.

However, “The Witcher” forum members, who spotted the image a couple of weeks back, claim it to be none other than their dearly missed medic Shani.

The “Hearts of Stone” expansion will be an all new 10-hour-plus adventure, in which the players will take Geralt into the wilds of No Man’s Land and Oxenfurt for a contract with the mysterious Man of Glass.

Earlier it was announced that the upcoming expansion will include returning characters, as well as new characters, suggesting at least one new face, along with Shani. Nevertheless, it is yet to be confirmed if the face looking pretty familiar is really Shani.

As for the “Blood and Wine” expansion, the teaser image depicts a castle on the hillside located in an all new region of Toussaint that is totally untainted by war, but masked by an ancient, bloody secret.
