It seems like the much awaited “Tekken 7” release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will take a bit longer to happen than expected.

Bandai Namco is reportedly focusing on polishing the arcade version to make it better within the time “Tekken 7” reaches consoles. The developer is likely looking at additional Rage arts and variations with the potential to expand the game’s versatility, but still keep it easy to use, at the same time, MNR Daily reported.

Recently, the developer announced that the “Tekken 7” girls will get a touch of the “Idolmaster,” in celebration of 20th anniversary of the “Tekken” franchise and 10th anniversary of “The Idolmaster.”

Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Asuka, Kazumi, Lili, Xiaoyu, Alisa, and Josie will be dressed up as idols Takane, Iori, Haruka, Chihaya, Miki, Yayoi, Yukiho, and Hibiki, respectively, Christian Today reported.

However, this comes as a little surprise to the fans as Bandai Namco has even previously announced crossovers of other series with “The Idolmaster,” like “Beautiful Katamari.”

While there were speculations that the developer will reveal new characters at the EVO 2015, Producer Katsuhiro Harada explained that it was due to the tournament organizers’ request to allow players to study characters already laid out, rather than the recently release new characters.

Rumor has it that the upcoming title will be set for the current generation consoles PS4 and Xbox One. However, there is no official word from Bandai Namco about anything related to the “Tekken 7” release for the consoles. Players can try the arcade version as a part of the developer’s test at the Dave and Buster and Round One in selected location.
